Hope we all have a great trading week.
For all those who are holding Bhusan Steel there is bad news. An Internal assessesment by UNDP and Orissa Government has found out deaths of 200 workers and injuries to more than 500 in the last three years at their Thelkoloi plant. (Courtsey Indian Express 28-10-2007)
The report has also mentioned that the workers are at great risk and working environment inside the factory premises being hostile. The paper also reported that some workers saying about people buried at the same spot where they died.
This report will soon be submitted to the revenue department which will formalize its policy on industrial safety and security.
Meanwhile the ED of Bhusan Steel has dismissed the report calling it completly vague and baseless. He admitted there have been casualities but the numbers are at a much lower 19 to 20 cases.
Let us all wait and see how this situation develops, may be ashorting opportunity if the stock opens up tommorow.
